This mini-app allows you to picture fractions in the form of slices of a circle.
- As you move the two dials, denominator and numerator, the picture adjusts instantly to show the fraction you have ‘dialled’.
- It is the ideal way into understanding fractions for beginners.
- For those already familiar with fractions, further insights can be gained into the effect of changing the numerator or denominator, or into concepts such as equivalent fractions.
